This AI Usage Policy explains how Matturna Academy uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as “Professor Sage” and “Solen” within the learning experience, and how students are expected to engage with these tools.

1. Purpose of AI in Matturna Academy

AI tools are used to enhance the learning experience by offering:

  • Concept explanations and science-based breakdowns.
  • Reflective questions and journaling prompts.
  • Clarification and review of course material.
  • Supportive guidance for self-awareness and mindset shifts.

AI does not replace human instruction or professional support. It is an additional educational resource.

2. AI Characters: Sage & Solen

Matturna Academy currently uses AI in two primary ways:

  • Professor Sage — An AI cognitive sciences instructor integrated into course scripts and content.
  • Solen — A Digital Faculty Guide who assists students inside the academy with reflection, questions, and learning support.

While these entities may be presented in a narrative or character-based format, they are AI-assisted tools, not human beings.
